Hello Reunion Committee!
I just wanted to send a quick thank you to all of you for the hard work in putting the reunion together! It was so good to visit with old friends and come “home” to the beach for a couple of days! I think I speak for all who attended that we are most appreciative of your efforts. I, for one, hope we don’t wait too long to do it again! I would certainly assist with future efforts!
Listening to all the stories brought an idea to work on a history of MBAFB through the eyes of us who worked there. I would take that task on and have published some things in the past – mostly scholarly research. To me this would be a true “labor of love!” Is there any way you can post a note that anyone interested in sharing their stories of their time at MBAFB to contact me? I would appreciate it and the best email addresses for this effort would be clark092@erau.edu or pclark@flamingolimited.com. (Based on how this effort turns out and if I can get it published, I will certainly donate a portion of any proceeds to the next reunion).
Please let me know if this can be done of there is another way I can reach out to the reunion attendees.
I do appreciate your assistance!
Thanks!
Thanks to all of you again for putting the reunion together! And a big thank you for posting my request on the Myrtle Beach Memories FB page! I will keep you posted on the progress of this endeavor and if any of you wish to share specific thoughts please send me an email with the information. I am beginning to put my thoughts together on the book and welcome any input you may have to offer.
Additionally, if anyone asks “Who is this Patti Clark, I don’t remember her?” I was stationed at MBAFB 2 different times and the name was different…….1977-1981 AD – Patti Hillhouse and 1989-1992 AFETS – Patti Dye…..engine shop!
Thanks again,
~Patti
